Proper installation and maintenance of the clutch are crucial to ensure optimal performance and service life. Below are detailed steps and important considerations for installing and using clutches in trucks and other heavy vehicles.

#### Pre-Installation Check

  1. **Compatibility Verification**: Ensure that the clutch is compatible with the model by verifying that the cover assembly and driven disk assembly match.
  2. **Surface Cleaning**: Use a cleaner to remove anti-rust oil from the working surface of the new flywheel and platen. For used flywheels and platters, inspect for flatness, free of grooves, and ensure no oil on working surfaces.
  3. **Wear Check**: Inspect engine crankshaft and transmission drive shaft (spindle) for excessive wear or swimming.
  4. **Concentricity Check**: Verify that the guide sleeve is concentric with the drive shaft (main shaft).
  5. **Leak Check**: Inspect clutch master cylinder, driven cylinder, crankshaft, transmission oil seal for leakage or failure.
  6. **Component Functionality**: Ensure smooth movement of separation bearing seat, alignment of seat lug & fork working points, normal operation of three working points of separation fork, & freedom from wheel hub spline sticking.

#### Installation Procedure

  1. **Utilize Special Calibration Tools**: During installation use a special calibration shaft (guide shaft) to prevent damage to hub spline during transmission installation.
  2. **Bolt Fastening**: Ensure proper alignment & gradually tighten all fastening bolts diagonally before calibrating with torque wrench according to specifications.
  3. Carefully Insert Shaft: When inserting transmission drive shaft (spindle), check intact positioning pin in clutch housing; pay attention to height & angle for parallel operation without brute force or collision methods which can cause damage.

#### Post-Installation Inspection

  1. Parts Inspection: After installation carefully verify full assembly without missing parts.
  2. System Adjustment: Check & adjust release/control system travel/clearance as per specific vehicle model’s owner’s manual.
  3. Deflate: Release air in release system’s oil circuit.
  4. Test Drive: Conduct field test drive after ensuring correct installation before delivery confirmation.

#### Usage And Maintenance Guidelines

  1. Comply With Load Limits : To ensure clutch performance/life comply with vehicle load rating/follow prescribed operating procedures.
  2. Select The Clutch Correctly : Consult manufacturer when selecting a clutch to ensure correct match with engine/gearbox.
  3. Avoid Mixing Clutches : Do not mix clutches from different manufacturers; Use full set from same manufacturer only
  4. Avoid Improper Shifts : Do not shift directly from high-to-low gear preventing friction plate twisting/damaging other vehicle parts
  5. Regular Maintenance Perform regular maintenance/adjustments as needed
  6. Avoid Prolonged Partial Bonding : Do not operate clutch too long/too often
  7. No Unauthorized Modifications : Do not make unauthorized modifications to the clutch.

### Important Reminder

Failure to adhere these guidelines can result in improper disengagement, difficulty shifting,vibration/slippage/abnormal noise/clutch damage.Following instructions will help extend life/smooth running.
